It's one of my favs. For most folks who're Interested in Japanese Pickles there are two books in English that are generally not too hard to find: 'Tsukemono'-Kay Shimizu 'Tsukemono, Japanese Pickling Recipes'-Ikuko Hisamatsu The former has more of the simpler recipes, though it does get into the fermented types as well. 'Totoro' is my "Ice-Cream Movie", the one I watch to cheer myself up when depressed.'Course, then I drive my Partner nutz for the next couple of days singing the "Totoro Song";> Cheers, Pat
